Rooted in Korean flavor.

A company shaped by ingredients

Flavor has been part
of the story for decades.

Nongshim Taekyung traces its beginnings to 1979, when the business was established as Yusong Refrigeration Corporation. It adopted the Taekyung Nongsan name in 1984 and the Nongshim Taekyung name in 2023.

Its business now spans ingredient areas including extracts, powdered seasonings, dried flakes, sauces and flavored oils. The gochugaru collection is one practical way for home cooks to meet that wider world of food ingredients.

Behind the flavor

An ingredient business
with a research background.

The company’s published research program covers food ingredients and seasonings across several categories. Its work with powdered seasoning helps explain why the Taekyung story extends beyond one spice bag.

For your own kitchen, the useful details are still close at hand: the ingredient, the grind, the amount and the directions on the pack.

Your everyday connection

The Taekyung range,
made easier to understand.

We organize the gochugaru collection around the choices home cooks actually make. Coarse flakes or fine powder. A smaller bottle or a larger bag. Kimchi, soup, sauce or tonight’s stir-fry.

Korean culinary style is not the same as growing origin. The ingredient statement and origin information on the product package are the right places to check the item you receive.

Company-level quality programs also have a specific scope. For an individual product’s dietary or certification requirements, use its current label and the relevant certificate.
